The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria in the Federal Ministry of Education yesterday commenced a four day warning strike to press home their demands.
Their demands, it was gathered include the payment of four years promotion arrears among others.
Secretary General of the union Alade Bashir Lawal said in a letter addressed to the minister of education that the strike followed a decision taken by representatives of the union from all its units across the country at a meeting held on Monday, November 25, 2013.
The letter made available to our correspondent informed the management of the Federal Ministry of Education that if nothing positive is done about their demands between November 26 and the 29th, the union may take other actions which may include an indefinite strike.
